Xpress-pay.com API Development

I have been working quite a bit lately with Xpress-pay.com as their exclusive developer. Xpress-Pay is a universal web based payment and bill collection application. Currently, I am developing an API for the city of Syracuse in New York to perform a lot of the functions the site does natively, but were never exposed to outside applications. Originally the site was developed in classic ASP with a MS SQL 2000 backend database but we are moving more and more to a service based architecture using web services, possibly even migrating to a MYSQL backend platform. This move to web services will allow any Xpress-pay.com customer to interact with the core methods of the application from their own applications. This should make for some very interesting implementations in the near future.
